About CRU Camps

Life changing camp experiences since 1930!

80+ years of experience

  • CRU Camps is a division of Crusaders – a non-profit, Christian youth organisation established in 1930.
  • CRU Camps is the largest provider of Christian holiday camps in NSW welcoming over 4000 campers each year onto over 75 camps.

Exceptional leaders

  • Our dedicated team of Christian young adults look after campers 24 hours a day.
  • Each leader is trained in child protection procedures, reference checked and screened in accordance with government child protection legislation. See our Child Protection Statement for more information.
  • Our leaders’ love for God, young people and life make them superb role models to your children.
  • Our exemplary standard of care is evidenced by a ratio of at least 1 leader to every 5 campers.
  • Each team has at least two leaders with Senior First Aid qualifications.
  • A camp ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’ attend primary age camps to care for the emotional needs of young campers.

Encouraging environment

  • Our nurturing camp environment is one where your child will be accepted, cared for and encouraged.
  • Through the activities, leaders help your child to develop teamwork, co-operation and communication skills whilst also challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to achieve new things.
  • Meals, discussion times and the encouraging camp environment help campers to come away with confidence, a strong character and improved social skills.
  • Our camps are tobacco, alcohol and drug free environments.

Great value

  • At all times we work hard to offer great quality programs at the lowest possible price.
  • Residential camp fees start at around $70 a day, which includes all activities, meals, accommodation, 24 hour supervision and transport (unless specified).
  • Day camp fees start at around $50 a day, which includes all activities, meals, supervision and transport (unless specified).
  • A camper Sponsorship Fund exists to help all families send their children on camp.

Camper Callouts

My year 10 son was very reluctant to go to camp in December, but when I picked him up at the end of camp he was a different young man! He said it was 'the best camp I have EVER been on,' and can he please go next year. Thanks to the great leaders!
