Caring for
your kids

Taking care of your kids is our first priority at CRU Camps.

Every child matters

Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and joy of your children is our top priority. It's not just something we say—it's at the heart of everything we do at CRU Camps.

Physical wellbeing

From nutritious meals to safe, engaging activities, your child's safety and health are at the forefront of everything we do.

Emotional wellbeing

We actively support the emotional wellbeing of every child, creating a nurturing environment where they feel valued and understood.

Spiritual wellbeing

Through meaningful discussions and reflective activities, we provide a supportive space for your child's spiritual journey.

Physical wellbeing

We thoroughly risk assess every activity on every camp, and always follow our safety protocols:

  • A minimum of two Senior First Aid Officers are on every camp.
  • All recreational activities (such as abseiling or archery) are assessed for risk and run by qualified instructors.
  • Our leaders take all reasonable steps to ensure all campers wear appropriate clothing and sun protection for activities.
  • We provide wholesome, nutritious food for campers (including most special dietary needs) to give your kids the energy they need for active, outdoor fun.
  • All CRU Camps are drug and alcohol free.

Emotional wellbeing

We appreciate that an emotionally safe environment is critical for developing kids. See our approach cultivating this below:

  • With one leader for every five campers, we provide unequaled care for your kids throughout the week.
  • We aim to encourage campers and build up their confidence and so we do not tolerate bullying or anti-social behaviour.
  • Camp parents attend camps for primary school aged children to provide extra emotional support for younger campers.

Spiritual wellbeing

  • Our camps encourage the development of your child’s body, mind and spirit. Each day interactive Bible talks and small group discussions with young adult Christian leaders help your child to explore faith and investigate the claims of the Bible.
  • We welcome children of all faith backgrounds on our camp. Our leaders are trained to be sensitive to each child's faith background and treat every child with dignity and respect.
"I felt very relaxed the whole week."
