The complete transaction process (from collection of credit card details to the retrieval of transaction result) is handled the eWAY payment gateway. eWAY is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) compliant at the most stringent level. This is the credit card industry set of requirements designed to ensure the highest level of security for sensitive card data in order to protect your information. eWAY is also verified by Visa and MasterCard as complying with these requirements.
CRU Camps Registration
When you select “Make Payment” on the payment page, your credit card details are processed by the eWAY gateway with all exchange of information occurring in fully encrypted format. When the details have been verified with your bank and the donation processed, an email is sent to you with the details and your receipt.
When you enter donation amounts and credit card information on Crusaders’ online donation pages, your payment is processed through the eWAY payment gateway.
When you select “Submit” on the web page, your credit card details are processed by the eWAY gateway with all exchange of information occurring in fully encrypted format. When the details have been verified with your bank and the donation processed, an email is sent to you with the details and your receipt.
Purchase of Merchandise
When you select the item you are purchasing, you are linked to the e-commerce site “Shopify”. Once you go to the checkout, your personal information and credit card details are collected and processed by the eWAY gateway, with all exchange of information occurring in fully encrypted format. When the details have been verified with your bank and the payment processed, an email is sent to you with the details and your order is processed for dispatch.
Secure Sockets Layer
Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) ensures your online shopping experience is safe, sound and secure at all times.
SSL locks all information passed from you to eWAY in an encrypted envelope. This makes it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party, as long as your browser and local network support the use of encrypted data transmissions.
SSL is the system that is used by all reputable e-commerce sites. The industry standard for encryption technology, SSL is compatible with all standard web browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome.
An “https” in the browser address box in place of the usual “http” indicates that you have entered a secure session and will be present when you are requested to enter your credit card details. Other indicators will also be visible, depending on your choice of web browser. Typically, this includes a small ‘padlock’ symbol somewhere on the browser address bar.
